I love to collect and create art, jewelry and antiques. I am planning to hit the open road this summer and I will record my travels as time goes by i this blog. Life is an adventure and I am out to find one for myself!
As the economy has been an issue and unemployment is off the charts, artisans have either struggled or flourished depending on their media, venue and style of merchandise. I still feel art is a good investment.
I have noticed that vintage anything has captured the dollar more easily than new merchandise. I design jewelry with a vintage style and love to collect both vintage art and vintage jewelry. I get wonderful ideas from the 1940's and 1950's jewelry. My art is fanciful whimsy in most cases, however my desire to paint outdoor seascapes overwhelms me. I will be off to far off lands soon to paint, create and explore. I will keep you posted as I travel the countryside!
